Landscapes for the People, a series by photographer Mark Lyon. “These wall sized photographic murals seem to serve a psychological function, given their potentially intimidating or banal locations like dental room and laundromats. These landscape murals allow the viewer an alternate mindset to nerve racking procedures or the mundane activities of everyday life.”

PROOF is an exhibition that brings together 26 photographers who will exhibit their contact sheets (proofs) alongside their chosen photograph. The show lets viewers see how the photographer’s eyes framed a specific scene! This brilliant show will run from July 16 – September 4 at the Catherine Edelman Gallery in Chicago.


The album cover for Arcade Fire‘s newest album The Suburbs (due out on August 3rd), is so awesome. Gabriel Jones took these photos “during a road trip in various suburbs in Texas followed by a studio shoot in Montreal where the selected suburb images where then projected on a large projection screen. The car and band members where positioned in front of the various suburb landscapes”. Pretty rad!
