Photographs by Lukasz Wierzbowski. An amazing freelance photographer. He has a unique style to his portrait photos. Be sure to check his Flickr!
Dame Darcy
I had the opportunity to interview Dame Darcy for my magazine a few months ago, and I found her to be an extremely passionate and talented artist. Author of Meatcake, doll maker, musician and actress, her work combines a mix of goth, fantasy and, in her own words, “hillbilly rococo”. I think she’s amazing.

Tom Murphy
Photographs by Tom Murphy. If you like these photos you will love the rest of his photostream on flickr. Currently one of my favorite contacts I always look forward to seeing his photos.
Frank Chimero
Frank Chimero is an illustrator and designer based in the US; my first North American post. I first came across his work a couple of years ago.
I love the clear and natural intelligence that resides in his clean graphical style.

on Ryan McGinley
About two years back I wrote an essay on Ryan McGinley for school, and always wanted to post it somewhere. Here it is, condensed to the interesting bits. -RH
Craig Thompson
Blankets by Craig Thompson has been out for quite a while, but it is still one of my favourite comic books. Highly recommended.
Luke Best
Luke Best is an illustrator working and living in London. He’s also part of the influential Peepshow Collective and represented by Heart Agency in both London and New York.
I really like the way he collages his drawings together with coloured paper to create these excellent compositions.
Erin Morrison
Paintings by Erin Morrison. “The intention of my work is to approach the differences between what has been identified in our culture as organic and inorganic, and to present the empathy amid “viewer” and “subject” by referencing the transforming qualities of photography.”
Erwin Wurm
Erwin Wurm is an Austrian artist, famous for his One Minute Sculptures and for several “fat car” sculptures. Here are some of his other sculptures based around the motif of cars. On Leaning Car, “Wurm’s slanted view of our society drives him to disrupt the steady chain of production in order to fabricate an inclined automobile – a motionless sculpture expressing both unrest and motion.”
Jake Blanchard
Hello there from London!
As I am an illustrator from the UK, I feel that I must represent the talent from this side of the pond; therefore my first post is some excellent work from Jake Blanchard, an illustrator and screen printer from London.
He’s also the co-founder of Tor Press, who have some lovely zines and prints for you to buy.
